TotalMobile have shown their ongoing support for improving public services through mobile technology by sponsoring “Local Government Mobile Working 2014”. The event, hosted by Public Sector Nomads, took place on 30th January 2014 and highlighted the need to pay attention to culture change now that the technology is in place to support new ways of working.

TotalMobile Customer Enfield Council presented at the event on “Developing a Compliant Infrastructure”. Enfield’s Infrastructure Architect, Eric Hill highlighted the complexities involved when trying to keep an infrastructure up to date with IT advances, and matching operating systems with devices to meet current and future business and security requirements and very importantly, the user experience. Eric’s overall advice to the delegates was “It’s a long and winding road” so you need to build an agile and flexible strategy. A detailed summary of Eric’s presentation can be found on Public Sector Nomads Summary of the event.

TotalMobile Business Development Manager, David Cockayne, attended the event “We were pleased to be able to sponsor this event. At TotalMobile, we believe that mobile technology is the best way that Local Authorities can manage their costs and improve service delivery. We are always happy to support knowledge sharing in this area. The event included a number of very insightful presentations that the delegates will have found useful”
