Job Title: Development Director

Main Purpose of Job

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Development Director/Manager to join our Belfast core development team, delivering high quality field worker mobile and scheduling solutions.

Responsible to: Chief Technology Officer

Liaison with: All departments, clients and partners

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Management of Development Department and Product Development Teams
  • Implement continuous improvement across the department and adoption of agile processes
  • Full responsibility for managing, motivating, coaching, recruiting and developing the Development Team
  • Central point of contact for key stakeholders across the business, including requirements capture, prioritisation, planning and estimates to ensure business needs are met
  • Resource forecasting and planning to meet product release plans.
  • Delivering the programme of work including running key meetings, such as Development Roadmap Reviews and facilitating Sprint Demos.
  • Management and governance of incidents, problems, changes including escalations, meeting SLAs and driving best practice across teams

  • Relevant degree
  • 6+ years commercial software development experience
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • Knowledge of modern SaaS technologies, Web, Mobile and Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of scrum and driving continuous improvement
  • Engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure as code experience.

Job Title: Bid Manager

Main Purpose of Job

Totalmobile are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and successful Bid Manager to join our team. The bids you will be driving forward will be both service and tech focused, we are looking for someone from a similar background.

You will work toward fixed deadlines with teams from sales, dev ops, finance, partners and sub-contractors on multiple projects and bids, across a varied range of existing and new business clients and customers across Public Services, Housing & Property, Infrastructure, Transport and Facilities maintenance.

This is a challenging role as part of a rapidly growing Equity based, field force management software organisation but will give you the opportunity to be involved in many strategic bids working across multiple sectors.  You will be responsible for delivering bids, confidently, to multiple clients and external audiences, under pressure and to fixed deadlines. As the Bid Manager you will develop bid plans in liaison with the sales lead and solution owners and be responsible for managing them through to conclusion.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You will lead bid qualification with the sales team and appropriate SMEs, before shaping the bid timeline;
  • You will assemble the bid team, develop bid budgets and be responsible for managing the budget as well as writing, editing and reviewing customer proposal documents;
  • You will matrix manage a team of subject matter experts, including technology, business process, commercial and legal experts and provide sales process advice and guidance when required;
  • Direct virtual bid teams, providing structure and order to the bid so that deliverables produced are of the highest possible quality, working independently with limited supervision.
  • Facilitate the definition of the solution, utilising subject matter / sector experts and drawing on own experience and knowledge to meet the client’s requirement.
  • Prepare a Cost of Sale model and monitor expenditure against budget so that internal costs are minimised, and resources are focused on the right opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with the bid process so that bids and associated risks are properly underwritten, and Bid Management Reviews run smoothly.
  • You will build, maintain and manage a comprehensive Bid Library that will support the business in responding to bids in a more streamlined and standardised way.

Required skills

You need to have:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Bid Management role, working across all stages of the entire bid process;
  • Worked on a variety of bids in Enterprise software
  •  Worked on a variety of previous bids in a SaaS business
  • Undertaken Bid Management roles for opportunities in excess of [£500k];
  • Experience in dealing with senior managers and C suite
  • Member of Bid Management professional body, e.g. Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)or similar professional body
  • High competency in the use of MS Office tools;
  • Experience in the use of project planning software, e.g. MS Project,;
  • Demonstrable sales orientation with an understanding of bid management best practice;
  • The ability to work under pressure, often to extremely tight timelines and with competing priorities;
  • Skills in managing multiple concurrent bids;

It would be great if you had:

  • Worked on a variety of previous bids across Public Services, Housing & Property, Infrastructure, Transport and Facilities maintenance.
  • Technical ability to contribute to functional areas within a bid
  • Experience of Shipley Bid Management best practice;
  • Experience in mentoring staff.
