Delta Wellbeing Improves the Delivery of Health and Social Care Services Through Digital Transformation with CGI & strategic partner Totalmobile
BELFAST, Northern Ireland – 31st March 2023 – Llesiant Delta Wellbeing has awarded a five-year contract to CGI to work alongside them and strategic partner Totalmobile, to improve health and social care outcomes in West Wales. Delta Wellbeing is a Local Authority Trading Company, wholly owned by Carmarthenshire County Council, which is pivotal to the health and care collaboration between local authorities, health boards, and community partners.
In preparation for the upcoming analogue switch-off in 2025, the initial phase of the project will be the digitisation of Delta Wellbeing’s telecare services. These digital services provide users with 24/7 monitoring via alarms, sensors, and wearable devices to remotely monitor health conditions and help people retain and improve independence in the home. The solution will digitise and streamline critical processes associated with delivering community-based health and care services, allowing front-line staff to deliver higher quality face-to-face care.
Delta Wellbeing, in partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board and Carmarthenshire County Council, is looking to transform how health and care is provided to people through the concept of ‘HomeFirst’ – where individuals receive the care they need as close to home as possible. Utilising the solution ensures full visibility over service capacity while also providing the ability to manage efficient care plans and effectively schedule staff visits. Ultimately, this will enable the enhanced delivery of home care services.
“We are delighted to partner with CGI to support Delta Wellbeing in preparing for the analogue switch off in 2025. The transition to digital health and care services will transform how Delta Wellbeing provides care in a community-based setting – its staff will be empowered to focus on delivering better outcomes to patients, and patients will benefit from a higher quality engagement with care staff”.
– Chris Hornung, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile Ltd
“We are delighted that Delta Wellbeing have chosen us to partner with them on this forward-thinking and exciting initiative. We are looking forward to working with their team to support the transition from analogue to digital health and care services in the home, develop new skills and jobs for the region and establish Wales as the national pathfinder in truly integrated health and care at home services".
– Donna Kelly, Senior Vice President, South and Midlands for CGI.
“This partnership strengthens growing relations between CGI and Totalmobile. By combining our market leading offerings we continue to demonstrate how we can deliver transformational value to our customers. We look forward to working closely with all stakeholders involved in the project, as we deliver innovative solutions that enhance the delivery and quality of care services".
