New platform will modernise operations, speed up responses and enhance tenant outcomes
BELFAST, UK – Thursday 08 May 2025 – Kirklees Council has extended its longstanding partnership with field service technology leaders Totalmobile as part of a significant step forward in the Council’s digital transformation strategy for housing services. The Homes & Neighbourhoods team will move to Totalmobile’s cloud-based job management platform designed to streamline operations and enhance the experience for both staff and residents.
The new agreement builds on more than 15 years of collaboration between the two organisations and signals a clear commitment to using technology to drive meaningful public sector service improvements. The decision to implement the job management solution is part of a wider strategy by the Homes & Neighbourhoods team to reduce manual processes, improve visibility of work in progress, and deliver faster, more coordinated responses to tenants.
“This upgrade is about more than system functionality – it’s about aligning how we work with the expectations of our tenants,” said David Brook, Head of Housing Operations from Kirklees Council. “We’re confident that Totalmobile will help us improve the way we manage our housing stock, engage with residents, and deploy our teams in the most effective way possible.”

The software upgrade from Totalmobile replaces the Council’s legacy repairs solution and brings a fully integrated, field-first approach to work order management and asset control. Field teams will benefit from access to real-time information, while back-office staff can better prioritise and coordinate resources. For tenants, the result is improved communication, shorter turnaround times, and a more responsive service overall.
“Kirklees has always been focused on practical, results-driven innovation,” said Chris Hornung, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile. “Their decision to adopt our job management solution reflects both a clear vision for the future of housing services and a proven understanding of how to get there. We’re proud to support them as they build on a strong operational foundation to deliver even more for their communities."

This extension marks a further evolution in how Kirklees Council uses technology to meet its goals. With the solution now in place, the organisation is positioned to achieve greater consistency, reduce operational overheads, and build the kind of housing service that delivers long-term value for tenants and staff alike.
For Totalmobile, the extended partnership with the Council builds on a series of recent successful collaborations with local authorities across the UK in the last 12-months and reflects the growing demand for its housing repair, job and asset management capabilities. The organisation’s recently launched Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution further strengthens its proposition in the sector, offering a unified approach to managing housing stock, planned maintenance and compliance.
