Cardiff Council have selected TotalMobile™ as their Mobile Working solution to improve efficiency and service delivery across all services. Council officers will use the system on mobile devices to replace paperwork and streamline working processes, providing true mobility for the entire workforce and delivering a wide range of financial and productivity benefits.

In addition, Cardiff Council have also purchased Enterprise Scheduling solution, Opti-Time through Xmbrace in partnership with Consilium, which will be used in a wide range of services where there is a need to dynamically schedule staff or produce effective rota management, with or without the need to provide information via mobile devices

Both solutions will initially be deployed within the Authority’s Housing Repairs team, and a 2 year roadmap is currently being developed to roll out the functionality to other Departments such as Social Care and Waste Management. Further down the line, mobile workers from every department will be provided with the tools they need to better focus on providing council services rather than administrative tasks and paperwork.

The deployment or TotalMobile™ will allow Cardiff Council to go far beyond this, and when combined with the scheduling power of Opti-Time, will provide them with an exciting opportunity to deliver substantial benefits and improvements in service delivery across all Departments over the next 2 years.”
