TotalMobile Solution Supports Allianz Engineers Working in the Field Across the UK

Allianz Engineering, part of the Allianz Group, has chosen TotalMobile™ to provide a mobile working technology solution as part of a major business transformation programme that will support its engineer surveyors, who conduct inspections of plant and assets on behalf of clients across the UK.

Following an extensive market evaluation, TotalMobile was selected to provide a mobile solution to 60 users in the first phase of roll-out.  Following the success of the initial phase the mobile technology is now being extended to 480 engineer surveyors working across Allianz Engineering.

“We were looking for a mobile solution that would enhance our business offering and at the same time improve productivity and efficiency in the field, improving the timeliness of inspections and service delivery to our customers.  TotalMobile has provided us with a solution on time that has fulfilled our criteria as a core part of our business transformation strategy,” said Peter Wichmann, Senior IT Manager at Allianz Engineering.

“This is a new sector for TotalMobile and we are delighted with how the deployment has mapped out,” said Colin Reid, Chief Executive, TotalMobile.  “Allianz is one of the biggest suppliers of engineering inspections in the UK and mobile working is key to streamlining processes and productivity for engineer fieldwork”.

Allianz Engineering’s team of engineer surveyors work remotely and cover the length and breadth of the UK.  They provide customers with specialist reports in order to reduce risks. Providing an enhanced mobile working solution has enabled Allianz Engineering to reduce office administration by allowing engineers to complete inspections on-site.  This in turn has sped up the delivery of inspection reports to clients.  This increased efficiency has enhanced the scheduling of work and management appointed visits and enabled engineers to complete more inspections.

TotalMobile’s mobile solution is integrated with Allianz Engineering’s back end solutions which automates the management of data,  reducing the data entry requirements, and speeding up the correlation of inspection reports.  The removal of paper from the equation has eliminated cost and administration.

TotalMobile has deployed a full-time project manager to the Allianz Engineering project for a twelve month period to provide an enhanced service level during the full bedding in period.
